Aidan was born in 2003 in Heerenveen, Netherlands. In high school, he participated in the Beverwedstreid and got invited to the second round in Groningen. In 2024, Aidan completed his bachelor thesis in the Pollice Research Group, focussing on combining unsupervised and supervised machine learning for inverse molecular design. Afterwards, he did a board year in the study association for chemistry and chemical engineering De Chemische Binding. Aidan started his master studies with an interdisciplinary program focused on chemistry and computer science at the University of Groningen in 2025. In January 2026, he came back to the Pollice Research Group to work on his master thesis, focusing on automated closed-loop experimentation.
