Andrei was born in 1999 in Focșani, Romania. He started studying Artificial Intelligence in 2018 at the University of Groningen, with a focus on computer vision and reinforcement learning. In 2021, he pursued an MSc degree in the same field, and sought to apply his knowledge towards medical applications of artificial intelligence. In February 2023, he joined the Pollice Research Group to work on de novo molecular design using language models.
