Ard was born in 2002 in Zevenaar, The Netherlands. In 2020 he started his chemistry studies at the University of Groningen. During his bachelor, he joined the Pollice group to work on an inverse molecular design algorithm. In 2023, he started his master degree at the same university. In September 2024, he joined the Pollice Research Group again to work on data-driven optimization of transition metal-catalyzed reactions.
