Daan Kaasjager was born in 2000, The Hague. After living abroad as a child, he and his parents settled back in The Netherlands, where he finished his high school and began his studies in Artificial Intelligence in 2019 in Groningen. After completing his bachelor degree in 2023, he continued in the same spirit with the master program Artificial Intelligence, with a primary focus on Computational Intelligence. In November 2024, he joined the Pollice Research Group to work on de novo molecular design using language models.
