Niels grew up in Friesland, the Netherlands. After having completed his secondary education in 2018, he started studying Artificial Intelligence at the University of Groningen. He received his bachelor's degree in 2021, and is planning on graduating for his Master's degree in 2023. For his Master's thesis, he is working on the automated interpretation of molecule characterization data using artificial intelligence, while being supervised by Rob.
