Yanchao was born in 1997 in Shandong, China. In 2016, he started studying Chemical Engineering and Technology at Shandong Normal University, and, in 2020, he received his BSc. In 2020, he entered the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Beijing Institute of Technology for his MSc. During this time, he completed the synthesis and characterization of new α-diimine ligands and their sodium, potassium, and magnesium complexes. In November 2023, he joined the Pollice Research Group to work on data-driven design of organocatalysts.
